Captain sailing team building package

Script: Upon arrival on board, the participants will be divided into equal teams, who will receive different coloured armbands and, if required, uniform T-shirts. After the teams have been divided up, the actual tasks on the boat - or on the boats if there are more than 50 people - begin with the help of trained trainers, where the teams go around the different locations in rotating stage style. The tasks are fun and varied, requiring intelligence, skill and, in some cases, a little courage to complete. During each task, teams are scored on their performance and the team with the most points is the winner. In addition to the thrill of victory, the first-place teams will also receive prizes.

Lake Balaton knowledge quiz:

The following exercise will be carried out under the personal supervision of the skipper of the boat. With more than 30 years of Balaton sailing experience and a real showman's flair, our captain will create an atmosphere during the 10+1 question quiz as if he were on a TV show.

Target -> Achieving assertive communication

Navigation, steering:

The first part of the task is to navigate and determine the direction of the Balaton settlements designated by the captain. The task is then completed by steering the boat in the right direction by the team's chosen co-captains.

Target -> Developing cooperation and communication skills

Mast climbing:

True, the name of the task suggests it, but it can be done without actually climbing. A team member puts on a secured piece of clothing and the rest of the team pulls him up into the mast basket. The number of team members who undertake the challenge, which requires some courage, is the total number of points they score.

Target -> Building confidence, overcoming inhibitions

Knot tying:

The following task requires a little skill and a little attention. The boat's first mate will demonstrate a total of six popular and effective knot tying techniques, which, after some practice, participants will need to master if they want to get a maximum score.

Target -> Increase concentration and self-confidence

Pirate starter:

Writing a pirate song or a poem always brings out the creativity in team members, especially if you have to weave 10 concepts related to the employer into the creation. At the end of the training, the compositions are performed, and the excellent atmosphere crowns the programme.

Target -> Bringing creativity to the surface

Pirate roulette:

The task is most often built into the programme when new staff arrive. Each team member tells three personal things about him/herself, which the new member of staff will eventually have to tell back. Before they start, a tray of shot glasses is placed in front of them with three glasses of water and three glasses of brandy. If the answer is wrong, you choose a glass to drink from.

Target shooting with airsoft rifles:

This challenge is exactly what it sounds like, shoot balloons with an airsoft gun. The team has to inflate 10 balloons in time, tie them up, throw them into the water and shoot them out to a sniper of their choice. The balloons and bullets are made of a water-degradable material that is environmentally friendly and after the time is up, everyone can try shooting.

Sailor penalty:

It was an old custom at sea to pull a renegade sailor under the ship as punishment. The exercise is a simulation of this rather severe punishment, but of course not with the participants, but with life-like puppets instead.

Target -> Develop problem-solving skills

Evacuation:

In the sinking ship simulation, team members must leave the ship in a lifeboat to find shelter in an escape pod. To make the task more challenging and fun, instead of paddles, brooms are available to participants.

Target -> Stress management, quick decision-making, improving teamwork

Underwater scooter race:

In Hungary, water scooters are less common but more fun, mostly used by divers for underwater transport. Teams compete in various water races to decide who scores the most points.

Target -> Competing in a competitive situation, having fun

Lifejacket show:

After picking up the life jackets placed on board the boat, players must jump into the water on one side of the boat, bypassing the boat and returning to the deck on the other side. All team members must make this distance, but there is no ladder to get on the boat, only each other, so it is always advisable for someone to stay on the boat. It doesn't hurt to hurry, the task is timed.
